LENGTH: For my 5\/8&#8243; board, I used 1.25&#8243; carriage bolts. Adjust to match your<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2RnrL7C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Cheap sandblaster<\/a>\u00a0(<em>optional<\/em>) &#8211; For these size of projects, you don&#8217;t need a huge air compressor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These are affiliate links. Rubber<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cut &amp; Attach Rubber<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Using an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2sYdvJe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">X-Acto knife<\/a>\u00a0(affiliate link), place the magnet on the rubber, then cut a disc w\/ a hole in it to match the ceramic portion of the magnet.<\/li><li>Use CA glue to stick the rubber on the magnet.<\/li><li>Put some weight on it, and let it dry for about 1 minute.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped\"><ul this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use&nbsp;<strong><em>fine<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;sandblasting media. You can get this from your local monument shop. Fine sand works better in the cheap sand blaster, and it provides more of a matte (rather than pitted) finish.<\/li><li>Don&#8217;t blast the bottom of the magnet.<\/li><li>Clean sand off the bottom of the magnet before using on your fridge.
